Stuff I did in 2010 — Drive around India in an autorickshaw with two mad men and a watermelon.
While the other teams were living it up in a nice resort in Mararikulam, we drove over to Kottayam to visit our friend Saira’s parents. Aunty gave us a watermelon. Little did she know that we would carry it everywhere we went.
This definitely goes down as one of the oddest things I’ve ever done, considering that we drew a face on the watermelon, stuck it out of our rickshaw for all the world to see, sat it down at restaurants with us (!) and it even slept in the same bed as all three of us most nights. I miss my rickshaw and my boys (and our melon) and I want to do it again!
